a fourth export of a series of ambient sessions that all have a reason: reflecting one's disposition. a few notes and open thoughts came to mind as I sat down to create this ambient piece. something that needed to get out of my system.
Do you have the emotional stability to move through all of this?
Or are you still clinging to the comfort of your past?
To the familiar surroundings and circumstances that once tucked you into bed?
The most responsible act and also worse thing is to try to control what’s happening.
Witnessing the unfolding, the collapse of the old. Old friends, old work, old projects, old homes. All these containers that once held you may now be pulled away. As soon as you reach out desperately to hold on, they slip through your fingers like sand. Places you used to love suddenly feel liminal, suspended between what was and what is. People you once connected with now seem distant, off-key in everything they say and do. Even your clothing feels out of place, as if it belongs to someone you no longer are.
These old frameworks don't support the life you’re meant to live.
Once you realize you begin to outgrow your old source of inspiration, the one that once sustained you but now holds you back.
It’s hard to feel deeply connected when your emotional state is misaligned with the life you’re currently living. It’s far easier to analyze and rationalize than to sit still and truly feel what’s happening within your own experience.
Be present. Be still. And maybe you'll find peace in dissolving those old coping mechanisms. let them fade. slowly.
