In the fallen days of past December
A dream of thoughts erased, I can’t remember
Awake my soul
I’ve lost control
To wrest with worlds I cannot see

As I watch with fear
Our world’s declining
And I can’t un-see the future gone
Even if my soul repents, what of me?
I’ll go half-asleep
Down the country streets
And watch it unfold

Thinking there’ll be time
Always on my side
Then it slips away
In the dead of night

The longer I stay on this winding road
Belonging nowhere
But this voyage to the soul
I have to see it for myself, this journey
If I could only lose my shell

When I was younger
So much harder it had been to let things go
So much fury in me I didn’t know
Days of yonder I now leave behind
My hairs have now turned grey
Each day I’m thankful I feel okay
