At the end of 2010 I got involved in a small project that Jonas Wæver (of TNM fame) was working on. He needed a track that reflected the pre-columbus environment of Central and South America. As far as I know there are no written accounts of what the music of the original tribes sounded like, only musical instruments are left, and whatever influence has been carried with the cultures that are still present today. He also wanted the music to be based on the track "Balance" from my Solo album. So there you have it, the story behind "Highlands".
