Born in 1967 in the middle of nowhere.
My parents read the papers and lived a life of fear.
A fear of being different, a fear of anything new.
A fear that something might come along and change.

We're only two generations away.
From a world that saw it's very darkest days.
We should take a bit of time to contemplate.
That all discrimination comes from hate.

Fast forward 2023 to the year that we are now.
The world is heading backwards, and I really don't know how.
How did we get so ignorant and hateful as a race?
How did we find ourselves back in this place?
