Babylon System by LeFanu
This is a Reggae/Dub album. I wanted to try my chances in a new genre, and I also got quite interested in it and inspired by it after reading and learning about its history and conception. I wanted to see how well I can find myself within it, but I also liked the improvisation and experimentation side of it. I like happy accidents in music and the approach to creating dub is basically based on that.
Some of the tracks are in 2 versions. Or I rather should say have its own dub versions. So if you’d have an impression that you know the melody, that’s why.
I am very proud and happy of what I achieved here. It was a March album creation challenge and I believe I did very well.
