This is the end of a chapter and the beginning of a new one. In this first EP I connect with very strong emotions, I process them, I transform them in sounds. This is the reflection of seven years of becoming a migrant, of grieving a past life and embracing a new one. This is the result of many nights alone, of turning inwards, of saying goodbye to people who did not come along in this journey, of learning new languages, of finding new versions of myself. This is a very emotional journey, a picture full of contrasts that I tried to put into sounds.

This is also a work made with my own hands, from knowing nothing about recording or producing, to finding the answers, the people, the funding, and everything else in between. This is also the result of proving myself I could do it. Regardless of whoever will listen, or not, I am happy that I am putting this out there as the closing of a painful chapter, and the beginning of a new life. This is me finding my wings and learning how to use them, so someday I can fly.

My brother Andres (Juan Sin Cabeza) accompanied me as I took my first steps by taking care of the production. His experience and sensibility enhanced my vision and went beyond what I could have imagined, and I am very grateful for that.

If this touches somebody's heart and makes them feel something, I would call that success....

Leandra Gold unfolds as the deeply personal and experimental solo project of cellist/singer Natalia Bohórquez. This project is a platform where dualism, multilingualism and culture interplay, unearthing an authentic artistic self.
