Lucy Mae from GIT WEIRD!! by Lawrence Wise And The Cosmic Funk Orchestra

Interesting story here:
The THIRD Lawrence Wise And The Cosmic Funk Orchestra REMAKE on the album, and the 2nd Youngest TRACK on the album. The original "LUCY MAE" was written in honor of the First US Woman In Space, Sally Ride. I recorded the original on Cassette in NOVEMBER 1983, and made a 12-track Cassette-Album around it ("The Ancient Astronaut Theory ['or The Truth About Cosmosis']") in December 1983-January 1984. The original arrangement was a bit Prog-like and downright epic-sounding (not bad for something recorded on one of the earliest large-model Casios!!). The original Semi-Stereo MASTERS of the cassette tape, however, were trashed--accidentally (I was 20, and didn't know how to properly preserve thangs!!). All that remained was a shrill-sounding reel-to-reel of the masters (and that was the fault of a bad tape-head!). SO, to fill-out the upcoming 1990 project, I re-did "LUCY MAE" on a couple of Newer Casios and a Yamaha, and gave it an R&B-type arrangement---what you have HERE. Needless to say, it kinda kicks ass. (And, still is a "Sci-fi Story About An Astronaut's Daughter Who Wants To Be Like Her Mother--The Astronaut.")
