While using the bass guitar was RARE after 1983, this is the FINAL Song that instrument was used on..until about 9 years later (this track was recorded in 1987).

AND, this track is ALL Bass Guitar. It was recorded on the (then-new!!) Casio Sampler keyboard. The Metallic sound is only ONE NOTE plucked into the keyboard, REVERSED(!!) with the Sampler button, and played on the Keyboard. The "Lead Guitar" sound is that same bass, played thru an ECHOPLEX. The drums were supplied by the Sampler Keyboard.

Now, here's the scary part: Because that keyboard had a "Loop Function", I was able to record the entire instrumental version LIVE, in one take--just play the Lead part and control the drum fill-ins. ONLY the vocals were overdubbed in.
