Representing a series of little experiments, this album is based on my previous work, recording and mixing predominantly hip-hop for other artists. I always found the process really fun, even if I wasn’t actually producing the music behind it. There was always a fun interaction with me and the artist recording the vocals, lots of late late nights and absolutely unhinged jokes.
Here I took all of generic kind of instrumentals and beats, the type of things you would hear constructed from a bunch of different samples on Splice or Loopmasters and sent them through an audio ringer. Looping, weird pieces over and over, creating glitchy artifacts, and twisting the audio in a way that decimates your sense of rhythm to make something fun but also a bit incomprehensible.
