Lyrics
DON'T JUMP
words & music by Larry L Campbell
I had just gotten off the phone with some big shots in Japan,
they were ready to proceed with a million-dollar plan.
I was so beside myself it's a wonder I even saw her there,
she was barely holding on as she told me there was no one left to care.
So, I sat down beside her, and Jesus took control.
and right there in the factory His spirit filled my soul.
She proceeded to tell me all the details of a battered wife,
and how she'd stopped on the bridge that day,
ready to end what was left of her life.
I tried to hide the fact I had tears in my eyes,
but God's love came bursting through, to my great surprise,
and I cried...
Chorus:
DON'T JUMP!
Please don't jump, it's much further down than you can see.
Don't jump please don't jump,
He can rescue you just like He rescued me.
Hold on please hold on it's much further down than you can see.
Hold on please hold on, He can rescue you just like He rescued me.
Now several years have now passed by, she's said she's doing well.
But she's a daily reminder that some people live a living hell.
and I still wonder who helped who,
was the lesson for her or was the lesson for me,
I'm the salt in a bitter world, I am a light on a Hill, i should always shout and sing, "DON'T JUMP!"
Chorus:
