this song could be about the frustration of trying to live up to societal expectations of being a woman, a mother, a caregiver, a human. but maybe it is just about a feeling, perhaps fleeting, that seems incongruous to what you think you should feel. or even without the incongruity bit or any further dissection... maybe it is, merely or solely, a fleeting feeling. a moment in time that you might otherwise keep to yourself. but the moment spontaneously bursts out into the the kitchen sink, mixes with the dishwater, and then disappears down the drain.
