When languorossa, as he had recently insisted on being referred to, emerged from the attic, after two decades, clutching the tapes of his finally completed recordings, he was in a state of extreme agitation and exhaustion.

Froth was in abundance!

"Here, take these", he panted, "take these to the mastering house".
Being his guardian, and friend, I assured him of my good faith in the matter.

Eventually the tremors ebbed away and he shuffled off and collapsed on the ottoman. I took to the study with a soothing brandy, cued the tape and reclined betwixt the speakers.

I sat in contemplation and soon found myself floating in the most pleasant of reveries. I gamboled in the dappled sunlight of my youth, resumed old jokes with long lost friends, relived ecstatic entwinings...

Too soon the music faded into the aether and the tape ran off the spool. I was jolted back into the here and now, astounded. He was actually on to something here. It hadn't all been in vain!

That night I dreamed serene and awoke with a sense of purpose that had, I must admit, dwindled of late. With youthful vigour I embraced my unexpected late career detour into the role of record company mogul. Eye of Noreauneau Recordings was born! Wheels were put in motion and hares set running.

And this magnificent artefact is the end result. It is an honour to present it here.

It has been an illuminating journey.

So please, take to a hammock, or any other comfortable apparatus, lay down and drift into the realm of languorossa.

Languorossa is a self-styled purveyor of 'instrumental mood music for pleasure and relaxation'. He has spent the best part of two decades piecing together his mythic debut album; coaxing sounds from an array instruments and lying supine, for great swathes of time, in stupefied contemplation.
