When did you last make a new friend without alcohol?
It’s so hard to keep a conversation going back and forth.
I can’t sleep most nights until the TV screen burns my eyes. I’m in the worst scene of a horror film for most of my life.

Evening comes around again, I wait for your call.
Your voice cuts out the line again, I’ve had enough of it all.

We could move to the country and walk across great open land. But we’d always be worried, people staring at us holding hands.
We could move to the city, go to shows and join a pottery class. But you’d always be overwhelmed by everything that moves too fast. I don’t care where we live, I just want you back.

When will you move back down? I miss you so much it hurts to think. I’ll wait another month then I’ll rent somewhere and move you in.
When you left it was still cold but it was nearly spring. I won’t do another field of bluebells on my own again.
