ALBATROSS by La Giang
La Giang's second ep this year is a skillful blend of several musical styles - from warm deep house to the progressive sounds of Anjuadeep to the emotional territory of melodic techno. The entire album, topped by the title track "Albatross," is one of the most complex, emotional and dramatic tracks in his discography. Based on the contrast between ethnic vocal samples and a distinctive instrumental hook, the track shifts gears several times, yet never loses its mesmerizing appeal.
