Stargazing from Journeys by Lady Prudence

They tell me I'm looking at Orion's belt,
or some other shape in the sky
They then say I couldn't see you,
Though I know my heart wouldn't lie

I know that somewhere, I couldn't say where,
your soul lives on, stoic and true;
And I live each day looking into the sky,
hoping to find part of you.

Stargazing - is new to my life
it's not something I'd ever do
But a fragment of hope is all that I need
to spend my life searching for you

I find a certain measure of peace
as I lay alone in the sand
The wind in my hair, the tide at my feet;
I think this must, somehow, be planned

I know a newfound strength of the heart
that I never needed before
And I see your eyes smiling down on me still,
and I do not weep anymore

Stargazing - is new to my life
