On this release you will find a compilation - a very cohesive compilation, mind - of semi-unreleased material from this unhinged Cornish project.

The music here is reminiscent of Utarm, Todesstoss, Xasthur, or Gnaw Their Tongues, with lyrics that point more in the direction of Whitehouse or Sutcliffe Jugend. Of course such comparisons are more or less misleading: "Take Comfort" is sometimes depressing, sometimes unhinged, sometimes hypnagogic, sometimes psychedelic, sometimes meditative, but always very intense. Guitars are fuzz to the point of oblivion, strange percussive noises chime, slushed-out drums lurch forth from squalid crack-dens, whilst JP's vocals pierce the din like one awakening from a life-long sleep-paralysis nightmare.

An album title as an instruction to be taken seriously. Listen, and thereafter take comfort.
