Hallo ! Hier ist KonenTon !

If you’re a lostwave fan, you should probably know that in August 2024, the lostwave Cheer was identified as being the song Complex by the band HET. With time passing, more HET songs were discovered, as well as the songs they performed under their ex-name Niohn 500. However, despite several releases by Niohn and HET in the 80s, and contrary to numerous other lostwave artists, they never had an official release.

Until today. Indeed, some months before, I decided to organize and take care of official releases of their albums. I then created this Bandcamp account, taking the name of the fictional label HET was “signed on” in the liner notes of their cassettes and the 2 compilations they appeared on. I compiled what I already had (the songs and the album covers), and asked the band for what I didn’t have, or didn’t fully have, such as the lyrics or some context for some of them. And obviously, having the band’s approval :-)

All of these will be released soon, but as of writing these liner notes, some details are still in preparation. However, to wait for them and also because it’s Christmas time, we decided to produce this EP, which acts as a kind of compilation, composed of 3 remastered Niohn and HET songs either about Christmas, winter or simply have a very Christmas-esque instrumental.

If you’re an attentive Niohn fan, during the listen you might notice 2 little silly things we added in the songs of the EP, exclusive to its release :-)
