StarBridge by Andrey Klimkovsky

The melodies sounding on this disc may seem familiar to connoisseurs of Andrey Klimkovsky's work. Indeed, most of the works from this album have already sounded on the «Andromeda» and «Lyra» discs from the «Starry Sky» cycle, and they were published 13 years ago. During this time, the composer's studio acquired many new electronic musical instruments, but the very vision of the author — how they should, or — how these pieces can sound in the third millennium — also developed. In parallel with his desire to experiment, Andrey Klimkovsky collaborated with the Moscow Planetarium at the beginning of 2012, and his music sounded under the electric stars as a soundtrack to the new lecture program «Love Story». The composer decided to publish the most successful tracks of this musical program as a separate album, and even supplemented the tracklist of the «StarBridge» disc with several completely new compositions. This album demonstrates the new sound of Andrey Klimkovsky's music and opens a new page in the composer's work.

The «StarBridge» album was recorded at Andrey Klimkovsky's «NEANE Lab» studio using the following synthesizers and workstations: Korg M3, Korg M1, Korg TRITON Extreme, Korg N364, and Korg Kaossilator. The recording took place from December 2011 till April 2012.
