Invocation by Kitt Ramble

Kitt Ramble's first EP, "Invocation," takes the listener through a journey of grief and self-actualization by engaging closely with ancient Greek and Roman mythology and culture. Her music steps into the tradition of 'aemulatio et imitatio,' both honoring and seeking to compete with ancient poetry in order to reinvent it for a modern audience. These songs are for everyone, myth fans or not--but those who look closely will find many layers of meaning buried just beneath the surface.

Argiope is a singer/songwriter in the Raleigh Triangle area who blends her love of ancient languages and mythology with her love of lyric and music composition. Her songs meticulously weave together narratives from the ancient world with modern lyrics, sounds, and sensibilities, resulting in deliciously anachronistic takes on your favorite (or soon-to-be favorite) myths.
