I'm: Bezel by Se'nam Palmer & Killick Hinds

This is my first musical meeting with guitar dynamo Se'nam Palmer of Atlanta (by way of Charleston). He's in the multi-faceted SHREDGAZE™ group Crispin Wah...as heard on Adult Swim. What a pleasure to work with Se'nam. We met a little while back at The Bakery and had instant rapport; a plan was hatched to record as soon as possible. What you hear is our guitar duet unfolded in real-time. I did some post-production on the augmented sounds (the MIDI information was captured as we played, so all of it is derived from hearts & hands), but generally these textures were what we heard as it was happening. I'm playing fretless and he's fretted, though both of us dial in our pitch shapes, so it's often difficult to tease apart. Liberal kaleidoscopic bitcrushing rounds out the effort (it only seems like clipping: grab the 24bit version for resolution delights!), blending with the raw material physicality of strings and woods and metals throughout. Overall this was an exciting and very, very fun session of discovery with the promise of more to come. Thanks as always for listening.
