Elsewhere by Kiko De Gallo
DJ/Producer Kiko de Gallo's ‘Elsewhere’ brings from chill beats and world music to downtempo and cosmic vibes. His approach to sound design is highlighted with creative sampling, moody synths and psychedelic layback grooves.
The 14 original instrumental songs focus on creating sample collages with a vintage feel of spacious ambient moods.‘The tracks came to life in a continuous stage of creative flow where the process of finishing one track led to the starting line of creating the next one. I wanted to create an album based on ideas that I could flush without overthinking it to provide a more human feel to it. Plus, I wanted to simplify the music-making process by focusing on a combination of three main elements: Sample-based beats, World music instrumentations and futuristic synth, and that feels like the right place to me.’
Originally from Cadiz (Spain) and based in Kansas City, Kiko de Gallo has had a long run as a dj and music maker with an eclectic style that wields genres like electronic music, downtempo, House music and World music.
