My Psych by Kieran Mahon

Earlier in 2016 I released a number of long-form pieces that shifted my focus to the psychedelic - inner-space, rather than outer.
During this process I altered my musicality from an overtly ambient style, to more structured forms, with linkage to music across electronic genres.

I have had many long conversations with like-minded friends about what actually constitutes "ambient" music - I have my own definition and still consider it central to what I do.

My Psych does not have an obvious theme beyond the fact that it is intended very much as mind-music. I hope it inspires thought and inner-exploration.

The equipment set up I have used during the last year has been consistent and I feel that I have developed a sound during this time - whereas before I perhaps hit quite random outcomes.

Whether I stay on this track with whatever comes next is still to be seen.
