Kuitra from Destination Unknown by Kevin J. Cope
Written for guitarist Brian Bard Kuitra reflects the idea of utilizing understandable modes to create unexpected harmony. Kuitra is built upon two overall sections. The first section relies upon a call and response type of texture that culminates in an aggressively dissonant climax only to return and build again until the second section. This next section then calls forth a melody over an ostinato building until a simultaneously aggressive and beautifully melodic rasgueado section.
