LISA is an acronym for "love is so amazing". This was a concept album put together with friend & often musical collaborator, Brian Kidd, between 2009-2010. LISA was always meant to be a male/female experience, but circumstances prevented such. After making our rounds at numerous record labels & being told a project like this wouldn't resonate with listeners, it was with much chagrin that we decided to shelf this material indefinitely. Over the next few years, I spiraled into deep depression thinking no one would ever get me or my music. It took the help of loved ones & longtime supporters to talk me into releasing this work as a free mixtape in January 2012. To my surprise, LISA was welcomed with open ears. The process of making & delivering this music is a true testament to following your instincts & honoring your innate gifts. Sometimes it takes being ahead of the curve to shake shit up. As we approach the two year anniversary of it's release, I offer you LISA once more. And once more, you the listeners prove to me time & time again, love is truly amazing...
