Lizzie from Keogh Road by Keogh Road
One of the most talked about subjects in the current media is Brexit. We decided to write a song about the situation (Lizzie representing Brexit). As we voted differently in the referendum, we felt we were able to portray the opinion of both sides of the British public. The song both portrays the regret of a “Remainer” for not fighting for their cause before the vote, and their want to stay in the EU, and the frustration of the “Brexiteer” due to the drawn-out process of Brexit. Overall, the song encapsulates the overall dissatisfaction of the British public.
