Dragonfly Sky from Dragonfly Sky by Zi iacchos
“Dragonfly Sky” marks the beginning of my third musical cycle.
Written in Hoi An, Vietnam, the lyrics emerged during a time of quiet transformation. This new cycle explores the fusion of acoustic folk guitar and modular synthesis — a living dialogue between organic resonance and electrical breath.
The piece incorporates field recordings captured in Hoi An, blending the textures of the outside world with the inner landscape of sound.
Each forthcoming song follows this principle: a weaving of natural sounds, guitar timbres modulated through my synthesizer system, and lyrics inspired by diverse traditions — from Taoist alchemy (Neidan) to the wisdom of the Upanishads.
A path of integration. A music of presence.

I gaze at the sky
And the dance of dragonflies.
They’re here
Only for a brief moment—
Yet they sketch the sky
Right above me.
I look them in the eyes,
Even if there are hundreds.
I try to understand,
I try to read
Something.
But mostly—
I just watch them
Fly,
Dance,
Maybe speak (in the dark)
I look at the sky
With the dragonflies.
In their precision,
Their fleeting grace,
Their perfect presence—
