I’ve never seen pure, unfiltered rays of light
Streaming in, through the window
My view for nearly 10 years was always dark night
I never got lost though

Now I see colors I know that you can’t perceive
I know the waves, vibrations, and harmonies
You think you’ve mapped constellations in the sky
But altitude irrelevant, I can go twice as high

I was born blind, it’s true, I couldn’t see
And I swear to you, at the time, this was all fine with me
We only miss what we know that we can’t have
And since I heard music, I figured it must not be that bad

Now I’m not sure what this sounds like to you
Can you hear these frequencies, overtones, colors and hues?
Does music feel like rain falling on your skin,
Can light compare to this moment we’re in
