itch by Kee Avil

I wrote ‘itch’ on my creaky out-of-tune piano in the summer of 2024. I remember the stillness, the open windows with no breeze. It was right after Spine came out and usually after finishing an album, I need to step away from music, to figure out where I want to go next. But this time I started writing right away, even though I felt like I had nothing to say, no direction. I remember, it felt a bit like desperation, the need to do it without the energy to take on another album.

Kee Avil combines guitar, voice, and electronic production into deconstructed songs merging avant-pop, glitch, and experimental folk.
