Weltraummollusken by Katie Smokers Wedding Party

a new approach for this long-lived Munich quintet (or so). Previous outings have had a rangly stumble-pop quality that would have been at home on the old Pastell label. The latest version of the band takes that and combines it with free jazzoid reeds and oddness in a manner that parallels work by The Ex without actually sound like The Ex. Colour me impressed.
