Very similar to the previous one, but I liked that one so much that I won't apologise. In fact, I might do a few million more albums like this.

I'm a morning person. And I'm okay in the evening. But I'm usually pretty wiped-out in the afternoon. For me the afternoon is the armpit of the day and anything done at that time always feels a bit grey and quite an effort. One of the nice things about going off quite a way to visit friends and relatives in a day is that the morning and evening are spent travelling - and for me travelling is the best bit of it all - and to do the good things at the good times is always delightful.

But it means that the actual social stuff is done in the afternoon. And I do find the energy from somewhere, and seem to get invited back, so I clearly can't be disgracing myself socially.

And the next day is always melancholy. And this music reflects that feeling - I hope. I've never thought of melancholy as being a "bad" emotion - when it comes over me I am often quite happy too. It is a quiet feeling that something has been lost - but that something can be had again in nearly identical form .... I'm not putting this well, but I suppose I mean that melancholy is often a prelude to a new spurt of action (tomorrow) to create more good times to be melancholy about. That is what this music makes me feel.
