KASEION is a 22yr old Indie singer/songwriter from the St. Louis, Missouri area that makes music in the genres of Indie pop, pop, & alternative pop. She is releasing her new single Better July 26th, 2022. Every piece of music that she writes is bigger than just words or lyrics, but a message for the masses. This song as with her past ones touches on some very realistic and vulnerable material. The act of being gaslighted (if you’re not familiar with that term don’t worry it is described in the intro of the song)
Her goal for this single is to raise awareness about mental health and how when one person is suffering from a bad mental state, they tend to take it out on others, including the ones they say that they love. She is very open about her struggles with mental health and wants to be a role model for others out there going through similar situations. “I feel like almost everyone can put themselves in a situation where someone has made them feel this way. When creating this song, I wanted to share that power of finally standing up for yourself and realizing that even though you love someone, you shouldn’t have to deal with them cutting you down to make themselves feel better – KASEION”
Better is her fifth single. In 2021 she released her debut single after rebranding to her new name. Later that year she released her very first EP “EMOtions” and started building a strong fan base from there. This new song captures her true essence and takes her music and style in a new direction. Better has a retro 80’s nostalgic feel it that is upbeat and poppy, but still contains a detailed narrative.
The single is written and produced by the artist herself and recorded in her very own bedroom. From writing, to producing, and mixing she does it all. The song draws inspirations from fellow artists Tate McRae, Billie Eillish, & UPSAHL. No matter the style or genre, in this song her vocals are upfront with swooning and storytelling lyrics that leave a haunting awakening in its path.
