Amanita is the progressive, math rock-tinged debut record of Michigan music mastermind, Jim Tobakos. Tobakos has been involved with Just Noise Music since its inception and has collaborated on many projects including Caves of Glass and Balsam Grove. Amanita would later transform from a recording project into a full band, as heard on 2014's Arduous March, and 2015's Lost Touch (single).
