Cicada by Juniper Tapes

A song to accompany a symbol deck my good friend Erin Borzak made. The deck is intended to highlight the strange, mystical beauty of the world around us. So when it came to musical accompaniment, Erin and I wanted to make sure the song focused on those same ideals. This piece started with the idea of using the natural sound of a cicada as percussion and grew from there. I hope you enjoy it!

Erin and I have a long history of working together, both on art and at coffee shops. Getting to team up with her is always a blast. I'm so glad her Kickstarter was successful and that Hollow Valley will soon be more than a dream.
