To the flowers in springtime that bloom beyond sight,

Too soon, sickle moon waning,

Too soon, life's road unbending,
My heart is still set on a "fairy tale" ending,
The Sun cannot come too soon.

To the mother whose heart cannot hold all her love,
To the warrior whose lifeblood was not quite enough,
Your day cannot come too soon.

Behind each hello lurks a painful goodbye,
