I rarely feel like the main character in my story
everything that I do becomes boring
when I'm involved, the spotlight finds a prettier face
my self-help books say you're the star of the show
but I wouldn't know what to do with the role
am I in control of anything at all?

I often wish I had the arrogance to simply feel like I fit in
or dare I say belong anywhere
