I’ve always loved compilations of “odds and ends” and it seemed like the right time to release one for this project. The songs on this collection cover a 13-year period, some projecting a rather troubled psyche, and others a sunnier disposition. Despite the timeframe involved in its creation, the album flow feels unified and cathartic to me. -BH
Salt and Push This Way were released as singles in December 2023.
Interscene and Dorma were among pieces created for sculpture gallery dance performances in 2016 and 2022.
Pate Two employs a chord sequence used in the Skiks track Pate and the B Hamilton piece Night Trips (both 2012).
Twangr was made in summer 2022 using a refretted "kite guitar" on loan.
Hollerday is the demo for the holiday song I’ve been threatening for so long.
Pact and Promise are from the early 2010’s and were considered for the lo-fi debut Josta LP (Greener Grass, 2020).
