I won't see passed 45
Late night, find my mind reeling
Will I grow to see my kids "alive"

my girl says through her tears

But, deep down, I know that too

I feel so very dark
Love I no longer see

Sometimes I get so down
On nice days such as these
First I smile, then I frown
Can't put my mind at ease

I hear through the telephone
"Just one more round, I promise, babe"
But we both know, I ain't coming home
