Ernest Hemingway from Alyosha by Joshua Powell
I wrote this song after visiting my brother Sean in Colorado and hiking along the Continental Divide. I was reading "The Snows of Kilimanjaro" and was inspired by how much Hem could say with so few words. I imitated his sparsity in these lyrics that reminisce about our experience on the trip--drinking whiskey by the fire, communing with each other, sleeping in the woods.
