Floride by Brother Nature
Brother Nature was my first serious band after moving back to NY from California, and now with a wife. It was the mid 90's and the music was searching for itself a bit... this demo was recorded at Morrisound with Tom Morris mixing and co-producing with me. We loaded my very pregnant wife and the three of us Chandler Paul and myself into our 1973 Oldsmobile and off we went... straight down the highway into blazing summer Florida heat... Julie (wife)was 7 months preggy and having an already tough time when the beast broke a belt and we lost the airconditioning in North Carolina... so with 13 hours to still go the trip took on a desperate feeling... we were all icing Julie with bags we had bought at a road stop... poor girl, sweating and cussing up a storm...Other interesting factoids include the whole band staying at Ralph Santola's house during the recording... a hallucinogenic induced throw down in Ebor city and an equally horrible ride home with the car breaking down multiple times... I think you can hear every bit of that on this recording
