Happy Song from Still Water by Jon Harvison
Came from a lively debate with a festival audience at Bedworth Festival. Sing us a happy song you miserable so and so was the call from one member of the audience. This led to a very brief discussion on what constitutes a happy song. So five years later my answer. What makes me happy is not necessarily what makes anyone else happy. Spurs thrashing Wigan 9-1 worked for me but not my good friend John Eaves, who supports Wigan!! So, up to each of us to find that Happy Song.
After brief a flirtation with the UK Folk scene in the mid 1970s I spent ten years playing in various rock bands. Returning to the folk/acoustic circuit in 1986 I toured full time from 1990 until 2017. I now play occasional gigs but mainly concentrate on recording and producing other artists and teaching guitar.
