Nightsongs by Johnny Blueheart

An alternate name I considered for this collection was, "Songs I am Letting Go Of." It's an almost-apt title because many of these songs contain old stories I have told about myself and the world that I have since been on a journey of moving beyond. That can be the nature of taking too long to release music: by the time it's out you've changed. As an artist it's so important to not let our creations hang on the vine too long. They rot there. They spoil and can even make you sick. The "newest" song on this collection was written 5 years ago. Here's to never doing that again!

Enjoy the songs and all the talented musicians I gathered who helped me bring them to life. I spent countless hours recording, mixing and sculpting this. I am proud of it. And I am so glad to pass it on to you. Your receiving it helps me trim the vines. May we all make things and share them sooner than later. May we all turn our pain into fruit.
