July from Turn by Signa
The 7th piece in a year-long, song-a-month challenge, July is inspired by the relentless roasting of the summer sun in its peak. It begins with a subtle, ambling guitar melody that signifies the first light of a new day, and then crescendos into the blazing peak of afternoon, represented by a full refrain of strings, vocals, and drums.
John Mark Nelson is a producer + songwriter from Saint Paul, MN. At a young age, he received national attention for his self-produced works, which were followed by extensive national and international touring. In recent years, Nelson moved to Los Angeles, where he has continued to generate a high volume of recorded works, and produce and write for many acclaimed artists.
