Cactus Beach from Ambient by John Holgate

I find it hard to get good ocean/beach sounds without it just sounding like white noise. Cactus beach however, had a nice steep and pebbly beach which made for some really nice wave breaks & fizz of the foam. This is in South Australia. A relatively famous surf spot I believe but pretty isolated. This would have been 2002-ish.

Guitarist and songwriter but I also enjoy recording frogs, dawn choruses and anything that makes cool sounds. Started writing stuff in the late 70's and have been writing and recording on and off since then. Sometimes rock, sometimes pop, instrumental and even a little bit country/middle of the road at times.
