Lyrics
Thunderstorms Inside
There’s a safety and a comfort in here
I can sit and watch while sipping a cold beer
But there’s a truth that I just cannot hide
I hate watching thunderstorms inside
I’ve been caught in the mountains way up there
Or on a fishing trip midstream out of nowhere
I find the safest place I can reside
It’s better than watching thunderstorms inside
I dont like to miss out on any chance
When Nature flaunts her power and romance
The gray clouds of doom can’t be denied
It’s better than watching thunderstorms inside
The family all knows that when I start stewing
It must mean there’s a big storm somewhere brewing
They know that I simply can’t abide
The safety and comfort of a thunderstorm inside
But my kids need me to be here now
I’m not going to go chasing storms down
I’ll just find a room and turn down the lights
And try and enjoy a thunderstorm inside
