Aesthete by John Beltran

Aesthete is the latest John Beltran release. A mini-album that continues to evolve his signature sound with heavy influences in sound textures from the likes of Kraftwerk and AFX. 'Amaranth' immediately sinks you into its' brilliant and beautiful atmosphere as chords dance over the broken beat in perfect harmony. 'She is Spring' is another new gem that is effortless in excecution. John's ability to marry's an urban hip hop beat to this melody is nothing short of amazing. 'The Sun Would Shine' is a succcessful foray into the more idm approach with an aggressive percussion tempo. The ending is pure Beltran signature gold. 'I Play For You' gives off an early SAW1 AFX vibe and surely, nobody is complaining about that. 'When the Children Dance' mellows out the mood in fine style with a futuristic Detroit direction. Soaring in an almost orchestral wash of synthetic beauty. 'Lodge Freeway' certainly is nothing short of a classic Beltran sound that immediately reminds you of his legendary tracks with true nostalgia.'Love Freq' closes out the album with perhaps the most straight forward techno song of them all. A sunset ending with all the feels. This album is a joint project with the cd being released on Blue Ants in Japan and on vinyl in the UK by Furthur Electronics.
