Solace & Terror「安穏恐怖」 by Joe Lirenti

Producer and multimedia artist Joe Lirenti, known for his work with the Norwegian-Brazilian band Melt Motif, presents a trilogy of interconnected albums combining music, photography, printed publication, and tattoo design. The three works — Conluio Etéreo「幽玄霊交」, Solace & Terror 「安穏恐怖」, and Dermiscapes: Epiderme Urbana「表皮景観」— explore spirituality, love, and urban surfaces — between São Paulo and Tokyo.

Solace & Terror 安穏恐怖

On transitory moments:
S&T was born from a journey in search of meaning. The journey is eternal, but the album marks the period of the second half of 2024 and the first of 2025, when I decided to find love within myself, in every form it could appear. It came as creative action, distant travels, and special people.

I tried to sum it all up in this work, which brings together textual fragments from my subconscious, photographs taken in Japan, and again, music. As the second part of the trilogy, I replace electronic bases with acoustic and traditional instruments, aiming to go beyond aesthetics and express myself through sounds that inhabit the collective unconscious and align with this emotional search.
