All proceeds go to the NGOs Open Arms and Freedom Flotilla Coalition in support of their humanitarian effort getting aid into Gaza

Songwriter and humanitarian activist, Joby Fox is releasing a single to bring much needed support to innocent people in Gaza.

Joby is part of the humanitarian community and co-founded the search and rescue NGO, Refugee Rescue in 2016 in response to the humanitarian crisis in The Mediterranean Sea. As the world has plunged into yet another crisis Joby feels compelled to help in any way he can, backed by his record label, Dimple Discs.

“I’m putting out this single to help raise money towards the humanitarian effort in Gaza. As I write this several members of our humanitarian community have been attacked and killed by Israeli armed forces. Like most right-thinking people I’m appalled by what has been inflicted on the poor people, particularly children, in Gaza. It’s not right to call it a war - it’s genocide and forced displacements”

“Growing up in Belfast during the Troubles there were many injustices and indeed murders perpetrated by state forces. Many of which will never face justice. I know what it is like to grow up in a community with very little to no agency. As an international community it is our responsibility as fellow human beings and upholders of the principles of human rights to ensure that the voices of the innocent people in Gaza are heard.”

Joby Fox is a native of Belfast, a veteran songwriter, musician, and humanitarian who started out in post-punk (The Bankrobbers) and Celtic rock (Energy Orchard).
