Longhaired Leftovers by J.J. Vicars

LONGHAIRED LEFTOVERS, fourth album from JJV, is a collection of leftover studio tracks. While recording HI-TECH HILLBILLY and HEARTLAND other songs were laid down and sketched out on the side. When LONG WAY FROM HOME was shelved halfway through recording this stockpile just sort of presented itself. It's the album in his discography that he listens to the most as a listener (as opposed to critiquing his own work) citing that it's, "Fun, loose, and doesn't follow any format but its own. It sort of exists for its own sake."

The jacket cover was done by Mark Schwarz who also built the custom guitar in the photo, snapped said photo, and added various album covers by friends and heroes along with personal items including his favorite TV show added to the television. The wood background is a closeup of the guitar body, the photo from when it had just been cut out.

Useless But Fun Trivia: Among the album covers of friends in LONGHAIRED LEFTOVERS's jacket cover is Jeremy Gloff's 1987. A rocked up rendition of the title song "1987" with guitar nods to both Prince and Don Leady (The Tail Gators) and a "Free Bird"-esue guitar solo is the bonus track on LONGHAIRED LEFTOVERS.
