“This is an album that speaks about love and how it transforms, as water does it since it rains, waters the earth, reaches the sea and evaporates to fall again in the form of a RAINSTORM .... Thus, love is born... it illuminates hearts and lights flames in the body, little by little it grows and transforms, and sometimes it ends or needs to be cut abruptly, giving space to mourning, introspection, inspiration that creates art and helps to heal, to be reborn again as selflove and eventually be shared and illuminate other hearts again...
It is the cycle of love... of all the love... the love of a couple, the love of the family that is gone, of places and memories... Love as a rainstorm of emotions!

During the time of composition of this album I was living in the Colombian Caribbean, leaving the pandemic and returning to be on tour in Europe, which musically influenced the sound of AGUACERO, with sounds like Dub, highlife, Konpa and tropical disco, always keeping in mind in the voice, the melodies of Colombian bullerengue and the “magical realism” that has this region of the country.”

Jimena just comes back from a tour in Europe, including live performance at Glastonbury.

Jimena Angel is a singer, producer, guitarist and DJ from Bogotá. She has already released 3 albums, multiple singles, 1 Latin Grammy nomination. Has been on tour in the United States and Europe in festivals like Glastonbury, Roskilde, Foreztival, Guts Around Pura vida, etc.
She is has just released SELFLOVE and TELEPATÍA, singles from her upcoming album, due to release in the fall of 2025.
