Morning arrives, beam of sunlight wakens up my eyes,
Shades on the floor dancing to the chants of birds
So I decide to stay in bed for some time
Spreading my ear through the house all around
Imbibing the sounds

I hear the footsteps of my dad
Some tiny words of my grandma
This simple scene has no flaws, none at all
If only I could pay attention

Pleasing my eyes with this steamy glass of dry rosé
I reminisce about the days we spent in Greece
Embraced by the sun, guarded by the greenest mountain tops
Charmed by the sea and cranky stems of olive trees
It comes back to me

That gentle touch of evening breeze
That pleasant buzz in our taverna
We had no duties left except to smell and taste
And save impressions to remember
